My 11-year old son and I created this lovely polar bear costume for World Book Day - Iorek Byrnison the armoured bear from His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman. We had plenty of things in the cupboard make the costume, but in case you don't, here are some helpful links:
A fabulous diy print out to create a polar bear mask (£5.99). We added a black nose. It took some time, we had some creative differences but in the end we were pleased with the result:
White hoodie - £9.99
Grey tracksuit bottoms - £10.00
We also added black socks and gloves for his paws.
Finally we found an old roman dress up costume to create the armour. It looked fab! Ours were quite old, but I've found something similar on Amazon - £12.00:
